"With a repertoire of original co-written material on themes as diverse as il/liberal landlords; original sin; giant man-eating insects; the end of the world; white blood cells; the media’s control of the female image; and (of course!) the lessons to be learned in love, INFLATABLE BUDDHA put a strong environmental and political message across with a punch and a hefty dose of humour. We seem to defy easy categorisation, but have been variously described as ‘an acid-crazed hippie's wet dream’, ‘art-punk-folk-poets’ and 'the biggest laugh of the weekend' at Oxford Folk Festival (read more comments here) - though there’s really nothing for it but to see us live and make your own mind up! Our aim is to satisfy: if you've not seen something enjoyable, memorable and - and above all - FUN at one of our gigs, then we've failed. Our gig archive here seems to suggest that we get away with it most of the time."

The Sunnyboy Trio is a journey on the rhodes of freedom to the world of jazz, funk, breaks, broken-beat, techno, soul and dub. Sunnyboy (Wilson Padmos) brings his soulful, funky touch on the fender rhodes to a sound that is informed as much by Herbie Hancock as it is by Jazzanova. The Sunnyboy Trio is a true hybrid collective, with funky fender bass (Mark Campbell) rubbing up against sampled sound and abstract electronic textures, while driving acoustic drums and cymbals (Ryan Davis) meld with electronic rhythms. This is for fans of Medeski Martin and Wood, Bugge Wesseltoft, Mark De-Clive Lowe and The Philadelphia Experiment. Come down to the Drive and celebrate a summer night in Vancouver with the Sunnyboy Trio.

The life of Kemal Evans appears on the surface to be some cross pollination of a Tolstoy novel and a Spike Jonze film.

Once upon a grade 9 art table, two girls would fatefully sit next to each other. One day their lives would change a little bit. One was named "Sarah", she was a pianist of the almost highest degree and said "oh well" a lot. The other was called "Molly." She sometimes liked to try to play guitar and she liked how Sarah said "oh well" a lot. Years later they have joined forces to create a band which, during a very sleep deprived conversation, received it's name..."THE OH WELLS." They are pretty nice girls and also really like to make, and eat, cupcakes. Unlike many other bands with two girls, they are neither lesbians nor sisters. Also they both have very sad love lives (ie. none) which is a great inspiration for pretty much all of their songs. And thats about it.

With strings plucked, bowed and strummed; skins beaten; and a rousing melody echoing, La La Boom Boom paints sonic landscapes of tumbling cities and mysterious back roads populated by lost lovers, gypsies, hitchhikers, and joyous mystics. Their sound palette mixes upbeat woodland folk with a surreal post-punk punch along with gospel-like harmonies; offering something sublimely eclectic and cathartically high.
Analog Bell Service is a five piece comprised of three rock stars and two washed-up comedians. Their sound is
something far between rock, folk, and SCI-FI.
